TORRE INDUSTRIES ACHIEVES LEVEL 4 BBEE Torre Holdings (Pty) Ltd has been independently rated as a Level 4 Contributor for its Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment certification. This marks an important milestone in the transformation of the group previously rated as a Level 5 contributor on the old codes. The group, which comprises of Manhand, Elephant Lifting Equipment, SA French, Kanu Equipment, Letaba Pumps, Tractor & Grader Supplies, Torre Parts and Components, AMIS, WearCheck and Set Point Laboratories, is defined as a value adding enterprise, which, together with the Level 4 contributor rating, is good news for the clients of all the organisations who do business with the group, as this will significantly enhance their own procurement scores. Chief Executive of Torre, Johan Botes says, ‘While the journey towards sustained transformation continues, there is still much to be done as we contribute to shaping South Africa’s future. This rating is a small reward for the level of effort put in to achieve what we have thus far, and for this, we thank our staff, clients and suppliers for their contributions. Says Delyse van Breda, Group HR Executive of Torre Industries “This rating motivates us even more to build on our successes and strengthens our commitment to realising the broader objectives of the company and the communities we operate in. We are striving towards being a company that our employees would be proud to own, and one where our stakeholders will continue to choose to be associated with us.”
